I have a bit of an obsession when it comes to beauty products. I love researching and trying new brands and different types of makeup. It’s always satisfying when I find a new “go to” product or introduce friends to products I feel is a must in their beauty routine. Below is my most recent hit list. (more…)

Living 20 minutes away from Napa never gets old. It is one of my favorite day trips. Exploring vineyards, trying new eateries and taking in the fabulous views is a great way to spend a Saturday. There is something peaceful about sharing a bottle of wine between friends, having good conversation and being surrounded by endless rows of vines. This past weekend we did exactly that. We stopped at Twomey Cellars for a quick taste then headed to V. Sattui for a picnic.
I’ve been in a baking mood lately but haven’t wanted to make anything too unhealthy seeing as tiny bikini weather is just around the corner. This past week I’ve been on the hunt for some healthier recipes and think I‘ve found a few that will satisfy my craving without making me feel as though I need to add extra hours to my cardio workout.
I’ve finally decided to add some bright pieces to my closet. This catch all red tote and these yellow pumps are two of my latest purchases. I’ve been favoring this tote during the weekends while running errands since it is so big it pretty much carries anything I need. Because the bay area charges for shopping bags now it has come in handy to throw all my purchases in this tote saving me a pretty penny or two. Whether I’m going to the gym or the farmers market this is my go to weekend bag. (more…)
I have been eyeing this skirt now for a while which has been replicated by many designers. Finally, I caved. The fitted waist and flared cut of the skirt make it super flattering for all shapes. The contrast of the black and white is bold but still classic. I’ve paired it with a simple black long sleeve tee and a pair of my favorite go to Michael Kors Sandals to make it a perfect outfit for date night with R in the city. (more…)
Here is a trend that I am definitely excited to hope on board with. The new and improved earring isn’t just about the front design, rather its all about the jacket (the back end of your earring). This new trend allows you to mix and match earrings giving you twice the amount of options you would normally have and who doesn’t like more options. ( Image three doesn’t have jackets but it was too pretty not to include!) (more…)
When thinking of spring/summer fashion, it usually stirs up images of bright colors such as greens, yellows, blues and various hues of pinks. I mean, after a winter season when our wardrobes are full of sleek black and dusty grays, it only makes sense. For me, spring reminds me of how fresh linens are supposed to smell when just washed and dried by the sun. I think of crisp whites or pretty pastels that are lighter than your average.
Every season I find myself needing a bit of inspiration and like most women, I browse through pinterest to see what our fellow fashionista are loving. Here are some I pins I found myself coveting their style. (more…)
While on the East Coast, R and I had a day to ourselves after a weekend filled with wedding festivities. After contemplating throughout breakfast what was on our agenda for the day, we finally decided relaxing in Cape May would be perfect. Cape May is at the very tip of New Jersey and a total summer vacation town. From the victorian style homes to the endless shopping, I could see why east coasters would want to spend their summers here.
